HI rossi2000,

I'm interested but got a couple of questions.

Does the price include delivery?

Do you know if WOS would honor the warranty if the unit is only a few weeks old?

good evening

ye price is included delivery.

to be honest im not too sure on the warranty, does that not pass to you?

Larry-G
22-09-14, 22:37
Legally no, the warranty only has to be honored for the original buyer although I cant see why the sponsor would refuse the warranty on such a young receiver even if he is not legally obliged to.

Ill give yah £220 including postage to Ireland?

rossi2000
23-09-14, 22:50
northern or euro ireland?

Larry-G
23-09-14, 22:52
Postage to NI should be the same as to a UK mainland address, postage to the ROI will be significantly higher, although you could use a parcel motel, I know Judge does when he buys things from users or the site sponsor to cut down on postage costs.

mcquaim
23-09-14, 22:53
Either, pref Republic Ireland though..

Donkeyface
23-09-14, 22:58

Do I not get a refusal before other deals are organised?

Donkeyface
23-09-14, 23:30

rossi2000
23-09-14, 23:41
Sorry mcquaim i thought donkeyface gets first refusal.?? as he accepted the half way deal albeit after your offer. I dunno lol

Can someone clarify please?

mcquaim
23-09-14, 23:49
He offered £205 and you said you wanted £220 which I then offered..

Surely his subsequent offer of £220 would only come after any deal with me didn't work out?

judge
23-09-14, 23:55
Yes, as mcquaim made the first offer of the asking price, he should have been given reasonable time to agree a payment before someone else offered the same and an offer was accepted.

Donkeyface
24-09-14, 00:48
Can i have my say. It does state under section 6 something about being in dialogue, someone else not slowed to make an offer? We were discussing the offer at the time! Cheers

Donkeyface
24-09-14, 01:17
Under section 6-
*However, the potential purchaser in dialogue has a 30 minute period in which to agree to that offer before other parties may 'jump in' offering that new price to secure the sale.*

Good points, mcquaim did make the offer of the full price an hour after your lower offer though.
I'd leave it to someone who knows the rules better than me to decide.

59 mins difference in Donkeys post and McQuaim`s post..

donkeys next post was not for another 2 hours and 1 min..

Ah here, no point being petty!

I will leave it to Rossi, My offer of £220 stands but if he prefers to sell to you then so be it.

Donkeyface
24-09-14, 06:23
I Dont see how its petty, is this not what trading on here is about?
Yeah i offered less to start with but who wouldn't?? ;-)

rossi2000
24-09-14, 07:22
ok ok.

sorry mcquaim but i will have to reject your offer and accept donkeyface offer, it should make it a much easier transaction all round with him being local :) and he can come to collect the box which which it better for the buyer aswell.

im grateful for your offer but i was checking postage to rep. ire and its far too much and i would lose out more than i wish too :)

i hope this is clear and ok.

mcquaim
24-09-14, 07:43
Yeah, totally fine Rossi, your decision at the end of the day.

BTW, I did say NI or Rep Ireland but no worries!

No once a buyer has met the seller's offer price that's it deal agreed.

This is not an auction site.

Just keep a eye on the sales section, receivers pop up every few days for sale.

For not much more you could buy brand new with next day delivery from the forum sponsor..

I know, but I prefer picking things up these days and having them instantly instead of waiting. Plus this has the cable tuner which I desperately need as I need sat and cable, getting a motorised dish so it seemed perfect tbh
