Put enigm to sleep with telnet command "init 4"

Delete the cross epg folder on your storage devices, restart with "init 3" command, re-set crossepg and try again.

Thanks tried this now epg.dat is not being created but if I select a channel one at a time the epg will populate for that channel. Is it possible the epg.dat has gone on to the flash if so what location would it be. The strange thing I have noticed is a fresh install with no back up does not fix. Thanks again for your help

Tried USB this time epg.dat was created but still not working see attached log

You define where it is saved in the epg settings. The log files mentions USB. You are still getting the malformed entry in your logs.

Can you try the defragment database option.

Yes tried that a few times no success

Do you know where the epg.dat would go on the internal flash Thanks

If I reflash Apollo 037 do a service scan select a channel the epg data comes up for the selected channel without setting up or running crossepg down loader and without an epg.dat file on my hdd or usb ?

Really frustrated with this now have set up epg successfully many times without issue thanks for any help, would flashing an original vu image be worth a try

The 7 day EPG info will come up automatically for Freesat/Freeview on the ViX image "out of the box". Freesat and DVB-T EPG is set by default in the EPG settings. You only need to configure and run CrossEPG if you require 7 day EPG for SKY or other providers on other satellites.
The default location for the EPG (epg.dat) is on the internal flash by default. You have to go into the EPG settings to specify if you want it on HDD or USB drive (which is the best location really).

You have not really said what configuration for the EPG system you have used. Have a look at section 4 of the Vix Manual, follow it to the letter just in case there is a minor step being overlooked.

Post back if there is still an issue.

But that setting should allow Cross to run fine. Or did you have a different setting before?

Just missed a comma in my post "Ok found the issue both tuners configured for 28.2 but only one feed connected"
