Hi. How do I find the picons I have loaded on my VU+Solo2 (apollo 036)? I have them saved on a USB stick, can I access them with Filezilla?

Yes, you can find them that way.

For receiver to display them, their name must match the service reference. Service references change. One way of finding servcie refernce is to use the web interface. You can then copy the name and rename picon which no longer matches.

OK abu. I can find the Sef, but where do I find the actual picons.

They'll be in a folder called "picon" on your USB stick.

Will definitely be easier to copy the folder to PC, rename then transfer back to PC.

What satellite and picon set are you using?

I'm using picons for 28.2E (not sure about the name of the picons)
I tried putting usb stick in laptop, but it won't accept it. It wants me to format it. and says "the volume does not contain a recognised file system"
Is it not possible to find the picons on my usb stick in one of the files using filezilla?

A follow up question....... To save me checking them all, can anyone advise on the best picons, in plugins, to use for 28.2E.
Thanks.

I use the autopicons feature in AutoBouquets 28.2 by Lraizer. It takes care of the service refernce changes. You then only need to worry about new channels.

Have a look at the picon section and check/decide for yourself.
Ocram does a good job too.

I was going to try ocram, but there is quite a few to choose from. I know it's a matter of personal choice, but wonder what most people use.
