wow just looked at that thread for the first time quite a heated debate but yes andy is right and decoding and tuning is different thats y my tv cannot give me BBC1 and BBC2 on a pip or AVI1 and AVI2 but can give me BBC1 and AVI or BBC1 AND PC or etc

Is that the same for audio?

Having a different audio stream playing, than what you are watching. It would be handy if a football match was on a HD channel and you didn't like the commentary, you could listen to the commentary on a different station while watching the match in HD.
