Right so i got my duo, unfortunately there was no method to securely mount the hdd without it flopping about so i decided to show what i did ...

it started like this....

i then marked out where i would place the supplied rubber mounts to the metal bracket thus elevating the drive in order to provide a nice air curculation path, the markiings correspond to the screw hole locations on the hdd...

So this is how the drive would be seated...

Finally i secured it down using electrical tape and screwed it back into position on the main board...

After writing this post most you must be thinking am nuts, i really do need to geta job and a life, i will however be monitoring if the heat causes the electrical tape to peel back....

Thanks for reading and laughing

Any thoughts welcomed

nice post mate but i think just for the record a 3.5 to 2.5 converter would be the better option and they are not expensive

I think your name says it all LOL

I would get a 3.5 to 2.5 bracket just in case of accidents this would void your warranty i think?
