Hi, a friend of mine has a Sky+ box and a Sky+ app on his ipad2.
This allows him to setup recording from other parts of the house, is this possible with a Vu+solo2 box?
If so please let me know, being a newbie a step by step guide would be great.

Thank you.

Thanks for quick reply.
Does this allow you to look at the Vu+ EPG on your ipad and select record?

Tried Dreamote and couldn't make head nor tail of it, any other user friendly apps to enable remote recording from another room? Thanks

its very simple, add your box in the settings, then it will populate epg in the bouquets tab at the bottom.

Or use the web-if.
Or the Android VU-player.

Black box is a must on iPad, HD streaming can be done from Vu Solo2 to iPad Air. Vu player can be used on android

Thank you for replies, I managed to setup the box in Dreamote but it does not allow remote recording when box is in standby. I was ideally looking for an i07 app by which you could remotely set the Vu+ solo2 to record even when in standby like the Sky+ app does. Any ideas?

unless your using deep standby then it does work, remember if your using outside of your LAN on WAN you will need to forward ports and best use a free service like no-ip unless you have a static ip
