Settings Back-up

Is this a daft question ?
Can I use a "Settings Backup" from my VU Duo.......On a VU Solo 2 ?

I intend getting a VU Solo 2 very soon, and I was just wondering if this was possible ?

Use an app like DreamBoxEdit.

Have a look in /etc/enigma2/settings & copy the config.Nims.xxx sections.

I.P. settings.
If you're using both boxes on the same network, you don't want to do this.

All I was wanting to do was replace my Duo with the new Solo2, flash it with the latest VIX then at the restore wizard stage....Choose "Restore, Settings Backups made from a previous installation using the VIX backup manager.
Is this possible ?

Not between different models no, if you were to restore your settings to another Duo then it would work, but not on another model.
