Hi all,

I have a vu duo2 and an xp1000. I have been using my old vu duo remote with my xp1000 and it works great with the vix remote control........... now i want to use my vu duo2 remote which has the capability of turning off my tv as well. When I try to use it with the xp1000 it wont work.

My vu duo2 remote does have different modes..... which have have tried all 3 with still no luck, anyone any idea how i can get it working with the xp1000, seems strange the duo remote works fine but the duo2 wont

Hi,
the remote has 4 not 3 modes and Mode 1 is the same as Duo so with RC code 1 you should be lucky.

I changed to mode 1 and my vu duo2 no longer works which makes sense, but it still will not work on the Xp 1000 which strange vu duo remote works fine.

are you sure that the XP1000 worked before? VU uses a rather unusual protocol with toggle bit.

Yes the vu duo remote is still working with it
