Hi guys, I am running the latest Vix image (apollo 023) on my Solo 2 and I would like to try and stream to and from the STB. Could anyone point me in the direction of any guides that would show me how to do this.

I would like to stream to the STB from showbox on my phone / android tablet.

Thanks for the help.

OK, I can connect to the box via LAN using the IP address, is it possible to do this also via WAN, when in work say?

As far as showbox goes only way ive managed it is using chromecast and avia app on phone.

You can connect to box outside home the same way you need to setup port forward

Update, can now use both PC and VU player to stream from the STB while on LAN. Still unable to stream over WAN, when connecting through WAN I can see the Open Webif page but when I attempt to stream I get an error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted."

Must be settings somewhere I haven't got right, any ideas guys?

Thanks for the help

setup port forward on port 8002, 80, 8080 to the ip of ur solo2.

Then goto the transcoding plugin on box to activate from there aswell then copy details from plugin to vu player app.

Reading this again, are you saying I need to set up port forwarding for three ports?

So what value should I put in for the "translate to" fields for these three ports?

Thanks Guys

So it would read:
tcp / 8002 - 8002 / ????-????
tcp / 80 - 80 / ???? - ????
tcp /8080 - 8080 / ???? - ????

Cheers

Yeah that correct. As long as ??? is the ip of your box.

As s1m0nw said, me too didn't try it with Solo 2, but connected it with Chromecast and new Fire TV. If you've any of these, you can check this to connect showox to chromecast (http://downloadshowboxmovies.com/stream-showbox-chromecast-tv/) device for streaming movies. Hope this helps!
