View Full Version : Picon help
Hi guys I've just discovered picons!
I'm using vti 2.2, with the DM Concinnity-HD skin.
I've d/l the licher list for 13 and 19 degress. These have installed perfectly to my hard drive and created a link to the picon dir in usr/share/enigma2. The png's are shown correctly.
Ok so far so good.
Now I found a file on this forum with all the 28 deg picons. I drop this into the same folder, and none of them are picked up, I just get the same same VTI default png file.
Any ideas?
Have you extracted the png image's into the picon folder?
Hi sicilian, yes I copied the png's into the same folder.
I even took just BBC and dropped that in on its own.
What is it that assigns a particular png to a channel?

the channel ref assigns it to the channel
for rg. 1_0_1_XXX_XXX_2_11A0000_0_0_0
Eeach ref can be seen in db edit when hovering over channel
or you can use this set bellow

Thanks SF I think you have uncovered an issue with my config.
I loaded your file, then your bouquets, and none of the channels are found (but the png's work!).
I have simple setup, with 3 LNBs, with 28 at A, 19 at B, and 13 at C - I think this is what is wrong. I'll keep at it.
Hmm, for some reason my 28.2 channels are partially scanned in as 28.4 deg, and these are the channels that the picon is failing to find.
In DB edit these show as "gs=" as the satellite summary, if I edit transponder and change 28.4 to 28.2, the picon then shows....but the channel itself is no longer tuned. Weird!

that is a common error of 28.4 there is a thread here about it and how to change your satellite.xml to fix it
Thanks sorted now.
Had a corrupt satellites file from importing my old Dreambox files in rather than starting from scratch.
Picons look nice!
