internet connection

Hi all.
Had a problem with my receiver for a while now but never bothered to do anything about it.

Basically, functions that require a connection to the internet often fail first time.

For example, when I check for software updates, it comes back and says "your receiver is not connected to the internet."

I'll try again straight away and it does it.

Has anyone else got this issue and any ideas how I can solve it?

best to state what way it is connected to router,wifi,hard wired or homeplugs? are you powering box off completely or which most do in standby mode,sometimes rebooting box and router can fix connection issue.

Good point, that would help lol.

It is connected to a access point using a cable. The access point is cabled to the main router.

When I run a network test, all pass except name servers which say unconfirmed.

I rarely power off completely. I just put it in standby so recordings work...

I think you need to connect it to the router like cactikid suggested have you entered your Solo2's ip address or your routers address

i done a search on dreambox control centre connected to receiver on DCC then rebooted receiver everything was fine afterwards
