force removal

Can someone help me with how to force remove the plugin cdinfo from the vix 1.2 image please. I'm having major issue with playback and this has helped the problem for some people.

done that but it just says you can force removal of this package and its dependants with force-removal-of-dependants-package. Is this some sort of plugin?

ipkg remove plugin name --force-depends

But it might screw up some other pluggins

I tried telneting that across but just comes up with no packages removed

I wonder why any of the images need to embed plugins and extensions when they are all there in the download panel. I never use most of them and as far as I'm concerned they simply use unecessary resources.
It' s one reason I use the original image and add my own extensions/plugs.
