can anyone help.

I'm not very computer or digi box minded, so please bear with me.

I now theres a number of sky HD channels have now gone. I'm using a max digital 100.

but after looking and I'm not sure if I'm correct but can you can get them back with manually adding the sat_sky_custom.xml in your receiver.

if so can anyone please advise me how's the best way to do this. I tried using the USB I have in the back of receiver but when I attached it my laptop all it wanted to do was format it. I also have filezilla, but never been able to log on.

BTW I do have virgin can the receiver get connected to virgin for all the channels just curious.

thank you for any help

That XML file won't bring the channels back. ZoomZoomLuke's XML file is better in my opinion.

Whichever you use, you have to transfer using an ftp program such as filezilla, dream control centre.

Port 21.

thanks for the info no luck still doesn't seem to want to connect at all.

I did the network wizard. default transfer mode is passive plus the is a default tick in allow fallback. next screen dot in the use the servers external ip address instead. dot in get external ip address from following url http://ip.filezilla-project.org/ip.php, and tick in don't use external ip addess on local connections.

next screen dot in ask operating system for a port. then clicked test and the info is below

Why are you connecting to the filezilla site? You have to put IP of your receiver.

I have tried my IP address but kept getting a error saying "Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

Double check IP address. What details are you logging on with

I know stating the obvious but you are using the Ip from the receiver aren't you and not the router ip?
