Hey all just a quick one, have a buddy was looking at his Sky+ box today and the sat signal was good 80-85% on the SNR but the AGC was totally flat at 0
Channels were on ok but he said the last few days the picture was freezing on occasion and a reboot of the sky box sorted the problem for a while.
My feeling is that the LNB is starting to fail. Its a sky problem so I ain't too bothered but I would like to help a buddy out if its a quick fix.

I never saw the AGC reading before at 0 on any stb, does anyone know why its doing this and am I right in thinking the LNB is failing??

Cheers

AGC is of no importance (as you just proved yourself).
The SNR is what counts, and apparently that value is sufficient.
When aligning dish/LNB (skew) one should only look at the SNR.
