as title says ive got the red dot stuck on top left of front panel
ive read the sticky thread and see ive got three options
ive replace the power board on it and it starts up but sticks on starting then

anyone help to help me with this please

Hi mate

Its the caps that you need to change, if you have any hdd connected or usb sticks for picons then remove them and try to reboot otherwise try and flash with latest image but beware make sure your box is not a clone.

hi, am stuck in the same way ,with red light and ;starting;on the front can anyone help,i am very new to this, its a vu+ duo not cloned was on vix.

i changed the capitcoator now and still got red light

If you are sure you replaced the correct capacitor there is information in the same thread about a regulator that needs to be replaced.

Most people with the red light problem have got their Duo back working again with just a new capacitor. Double check the value of the capacitor you used, that it is the right way round and that your soldered joints are good.

In the end you might just be unlucky and need a replacement motherboard.
