Play back of videos in M-JPEG format on Solo2

Hi All,

Just tried playing back some videos on my solo2 recorded from my camera that are encoded in M-JPEG format.

The Solo2 plays the sound but no video? Could someone please advise how to install this codec?

There are no codecs to install on the E2 platform, Media playback is handled by a combination of hardware, drivers and the kernel. Best you could do would be to re-encode the files into a more friendly format.

Pity... The processor on the solo2 is fast enough to do the decoding... and recoding video just for the purpose of playing on the solo2 seems an overkill. We kinda need an mxplayer that plays all formats for enigma2.
