morning all.

ive had a motor dish setup for about a year now and while it serves its purpose quite nicely.
i cannot find no solution to control the motor dish from my bedroom so i can watch it in there whilst something else is being watched from it from the lounge.

the only solution i can come up with is an inverto multi lnb system (20degree) with dual feed lnbs feeding a diseq switch for each room, is this correct?

does anyone run one of these systems and how well does it perform? are the lnbs ok?

i use an 1m orbital dish and dark motor. would the motor need removing?

What sat are they watching in lounge while you are in bedroom?

Hi,
dual feed and motor is complicated because both LNBs are only in the correct position when the motor points at a certain sat in all other cases the second feed is useless.

I think the combination 1 fixed dish + 1 motor makes more sense.

Something along these lines

For eg: missus is watching thai tv on 13e I can't watch a movie on 19e

The motor will be removed

on second thoughts i might keep the motor on, for future usage in case i revert back to a motor setup, so if/when i set one of these inverto things up i will park the motor at a certain place and leave it.

A 60cm dish should get you 13,19,28.

i have a 1mtr orbital that i want to use with the inverto system.
but after some more reading i dont think the inverto system will cover all my sats.

i need 30w, 0.8w, 13e, 19e, 23.5e, 28.2e to start, might have to ditch 30w

i think only a t90 torodial system will.

@rossi2000 - I don't think a T90 would cover all the way from 30W to 28E - have a look at the following thread on boards for pics etc.
Note that the mounting pole is 60mm (not 50mm/2" as is usual). They are a big beast and require very sturdy mounts!

ye i cba really with messing with a torodial to be able to possibly get 30w, i might have to ditch 30w, itd be nice to have but not crucial.

the bar that comes with the inverto system is 20degrees, can you buy bigger ones or are we going into the realm of modifying/making your own stuff?

mainly for adding extra lnbs along the way. i think 7 is the max number of lnbs on the inverto system
