help box not responding to remote

Hi my hd2 has stopped responding to my remote
The red light on the box doesn't light up it is just completely dead

The remote is transmitting and I have tried a reboot and a reflash and its still not working

How can I fix this

Tried both still no good
I think it's definately the receiver end because the remote transmits fine I have tested it and also my phone HTC one has a infra red remote which was working fine before which also doesn't work now

Feeling a little cheeses of as its 1 day over 12 months old

Update
Just took the top of and had a quick look all the circuit board is gone directly behind the ir receiver

Now hoping that the sponsor will keep good faith as the box is only 1 day over 12 months old

Quick update
Received my repaired box back from sponsor
Remote works fine but the LCD is just dead
I've tried reflash and upgrading front panel firmware and also powering off
I'm not very happy at the minute so if someone has a magic want and can help me out it would be appriciated
I don't quite fancy spending another £26 to send it back again
