tuxtxt not working after upgrade to Apollo12

after upgrade to apollo 012 (from 003) i can not use video text anymore.
all i get is the following errormsg:

extensions/Tuxtxt (cannot import name PipPigMode)

I am also getting this error on release 014 on the VU+ DUO2.
