I flashed OpenVix Apollo-012 Image today onto my VU+ Solo2. Everything went fine and i can watch tv BUT:

As soon as i connect the ethernet cable to my VU+ Solo 2 the OS freezes completely. If i switch off the Box and start it with the lan cable connected it will freeze most of the time at "Booting 69"!

Is there a bug in 013 that prevents ethernet cable connections to work or did i miss something?!? - What can i try or do to resolve the problem?!?

(Version 012 Apollo Kernel 3.3.8)

Thanks for any help!

UPDATE: Also happens on 008 to me :( - Did work perfect with VTI!

Try installing it again but this time with the Ethernet cable connected when you flash the receiver
did you download the image and install it with a USB memory stick formatted to Fat 32 I have a Solo2 and it is working perfect on Apollo 12
and also worked perfectly on Apollo 03 - 07 and 08, Did you do a Fresh clean Install when you upgraded from VTI with no backups

Do you have any network mounts that are not available? They can take some time to time out. Leave it for 15 minutes or so to see.

Probably an issue with todays 013 build. Please wait till a new build is anounced before updating for now.

Think i'll give Apollo 13 a miss, wouldn't want the side of my receiver blowing off whilst the cache gets recycled.

I did work for me after formating my USB Stick to FAT32 from FAT 16 and after having the network cable connected when i flashed and setup the image. - Thanks for your tips - By the Way it ist still working after online update to 013!:D

Glad to have been of help I have only had my Solo2 since February after upgrading from a Blade 7000s Combo so it has been a steep learning curve for me as well
and it is only because of the Excellent Help I have had from the very knowledgeable and helpful people on this site that stopped me selling the Solo2 and reverting back to the Blade :)
