Some questions about installing the VIX Team Vu+ Duo Image v1.2 - 01/11/2010

Hello all,
I just downloaded to pc the image from "VIX Team Vu+ Duo Image v1.2 - 01/11/2010 " and, as this is my 1st time installing images to my VU+ Duo, would like to ask do I follow the guide shown at "How to flash VU+ DUO Receiver with USB stick" in order to install? Dumb question , I know, but just making sure.
Should anything go wrong (fearing corrupt data), could I restore to the old setup by factory resetting then reloading a backup of tv channel list etc or is the new image installed permanently once in?

First things first Conax, back up your current image and trasnfer it to your PC.
Personally why not wait for 1.3 as its not too long now - hopefully.
If you are still intent on going ahead, need afat32 formatted usb stick and put the folder called DUO onto it, stick in the front USB and power off and on and follow onscreen instructions.

You can back up your channel list but make sure it is on your HDD or USB

You want the folder structure as follows
\vuplus\duo\
there are 3 files in the duo subdirectory but I think you need the vuplus folder as well.
