Going from vusolo2-3.0.8.8 to openvix-Apollo.008-vusolo2 with settings restore

HI Guys, I have read all the threads about new apollo 8. I can download new image and restore from apollo 8 on my vu solo2.

But when I try to restore from old settings file, vusolo2-3.0.8.8-<date>.tar.gz, it just says, "this version of the file is not compatible".

I am currently on vix 3 with metrixHD skin.

So my question is is there any way to update to apollo 8 and keep all old settings?? What else do i need to do?

settings backups made from ViX 3.0 are not compatible with any later images, you will need to set up from scratch, you can however back some things up manually such as channel lists and config files using the appropriate tools (FTP, DreamboxEdit) etc etc.

You need to do a new flash without a settings backup in afraid buddy

Which skin is best with apollo 8 ? I was using matrix HD before. Cant get size correct for matrix.
Also which version of cccam to use now? I was using 2.2.1.
