Hello Friends

Which is economically better, subscribing to one of UK's Cable Providers for channels? Or Buying your own Satellite Receiver / Dish / LNBs ... etc?

I would like the maximum number of HD channels, and I'm into HBO Dramas, Documentaries and Films. Oh and I am bilingual, so would like foreign channels too.

I have just bought myself a new Sony Bravia HD TV, and would like to put its great picture quality to maximum use.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Well if you like HD channels and HBO content then sky is your only uk provider who can do both, if you want foreign as well get a motorized dish and a cyfra subscription, lots of HD channels including HBO.
P.s. uk cable providers don't have access to current HBO premium content as Sky have an exclusive contract for it, both broadcast and on demand.

Thanks DaMacFunkin! Can you please tell me more about this Cyfra Subscription? What is it? How does it work? What do I need? :)

Thanks
