Hello - I have a problem using an AverMedia A867R DVB-T tuner. When I add the drivers using the user interface

enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-a867 - 1.0-r2.1
kernel-module-dvb-usb-a867 - 3.3.8-r1.4.4

and reboot the tuner is recognized by the Solo2. However - when I set my location to France and attempt to scan in the channels, the user interface becomes unresponsive (revolving VIX symbol in the corner) and I have to reboot. The tuner has a correctly set up antenna connected (I have all expected channels when the antenna is connected directly to the TV).

In the logs:

CPU 0 Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 00000000, epc == 80548a30, ra == ee22e6c0

I've tried various other drivers (AF9035, for example) but they don't pick up the device.

skin: Nou_HD
plugins: crossEPG downloader, dlna server, firmware upgrade, infobartunerstate, media scanner, navibar, openwebif, oscaminfo, picture player, screengrabber, sherlock setup, transcoding setup, most of the softcams (all installed via the UI).

I'd be very grateful for any pointers. Thanks!

I too tested an Avermedia A867 with my Duo2 and Solo and unfortunately currently there is no way to make it work correctly with OpenVix in these 2 receivers.

OK - thanks. I can stop barking up that particular tree then. I only tried that particular tuner because I had one lying around. Time to invest in something that is known to work with OpenVix and the solo2 :)

Well, I can help as I tested my 4 USB DVB-T tuners:

- Avermedia A867: recognized but unusable
- Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T Stick HD: not recognized (siano driver fails installation)
- Hauppauge WinTV Duet HD: double tuner recognized, I'm using it, rarely it appears to be "lost" and I need to reboot the box
- Avermedia AverTV Volar Green HD: not recognized

My current setup:

Thanks very much - that's very helpful. Will save me lots of trial-and-error hassle! Your screenshot also answers another question I have about which external DVB-S2 tuners I can use :)

Your screenshot also answers another question I have about which external DVB-S2 tuners I can use A note about my USB DVB-S2 tuner: the DVBSky S960 works perfectly, not a single problem, but you can't install from the feeds the driver named "DVBSky" because it's faulty.
Instead you have to install the "dvb-usb-dw2102" driver and everything will be ok.:)

With Apollo 026 I can scan and watch with no problems with the A867R although reception isn't great (with the same antenna plugged into the TV I have 100% signal quality (whatever that means....)). I don't think the device itself is all that wonderful, to be honest. I'm not sure with which version of Apollo it started working - I don't *think* it worked with 024 and I didn't install 025 at all. Note that I went from 024 to 026 using the software update procedure - am aware that this isn't recommended in this case but the update installed without any problems and I haven't had any issues with it up until now (I saw the post about flashing to 025/026 after I'd already run the update). I will reflash as is recommended if and when I encounter any problems - if I can avoid manually inputting all the LNBs again then I'm a happy man :)
