View Full Version : [VU+ Solo2] Automatic/Manual Scan Crash DVB-C
Hi
I'm running a sundtek tuner using DVB-C on my vu solo 2 and scans perfectly running abm, however when I run a automatic or manual scan I just get a crash!?
Not sure If this is a bug or something with the sundtek tuner but crash logs attached if someone can have a look please.
Build 008
Cheers

I have a Vu tuner and a sundtek and I've not been able to pick up anything on manual or automatic scan on either, as you say abm scan works, I think we need the exact config settings ie frequency, quam etc.

As per your crash log try setting auto time shift to 10 seconds or disabled.
setup your tuner by provider

Thanks scanning channels now with no crash

Getting the same picked up a total of.....1 channel
try the 6887 bruteforce provider
if your selecting the Virgin Media UK one and its not pulling in channels its probabyl because thats set to 6952 SR, i set up that initially last year in the image.

to clarify,
abm works ok and you can view the channels ok?, its just the manual/auto scans that are giving 0 services?

There's a bug in the VIX Image.

There is no i2c interface available for such tuners, and not really required since they work a little bit different than the internal tuners. The best way to solve such issues is to contact us via skype (sundtek) we can at least fix the engima2 issue with OpenViX
using an internal dvb-c tuner
currently running a manual scan and found 150services so far, so it is working.
571 services found

If there is a bug in the image, it is likely to affect other OE alliance images too. I would have to disagree with you about you fixing Enigma2 for individual people when they contact you via skype. What happens when they reflash? I would contend that the better solution would be to incorporate the fix into the images.
The source code for openvix/oe-alliance is openly available on github for you to suggest improvements/fixes.

some other images fixed this issue already (openpli and DMM at least).

On sundtek stick connected to solo 2 I get 27 channels using provider virgin 6952
Using brute force 6952 I get none, could it be region dependant, not all VM network is identical, don't forget it is a patch work of different systems.

Not sure how you scan your channels, but in Germany we only enter one frequency set up enable networkscan and we get all channels that way.
Maybe you can call your provider to get a list of channels?
Blindscan itself is supported by this device but not implemented across all settopboxes yet.

Using exactly the same tuner settings as everyone else except my service Id is 40967 ABM pulls in 396 channels on both my sundtek dvb-c sticks, using automatic scan the one connected to my solo2 pulls in 27 channels, the one connected to my duo2 finds 27 channels
My vu+ tuner finds 553 but seems to take a lot longer...
Both boxes are running VIX Apollo 008

Err scratch that, just run complete network scan in manual scan instead of automatic scan and the sundtek got 566 channels....

I still can't get anything doing it that way, what provider scan do you have it on? Bruteforce 6887?

No mate, go into tuner settings and set everything as the previous screen shots except input your own network id, save and exit, then go into manual scan, choose your tuner, mine is D, change where it says single transponder to complete and change the next setting to network, then scan...

Cheers mate but I'm getting nothing in manual or automatic scan....strange [emoji53]
I'll post my screenshots later but nothing different to what everyone else is doing.
Gonna reflash and install the sundtek tuner again see how I get on.
Thanks

Finally picked up 566 channels
If anyone else is having any trouble here's what i had to do. A single transponder scan within manual scan with the following settings
Frequency 715000
Symbol rate 6952000
QAM/256
Cheers :)
Finally automatic DVB-C scan is now available for Sundtek Tuners!
Blindscan support has been released today.
