...a plugin and an extension? Some "apps" is installed as a plugin, and is found in the "Plugins" menu. Some are installed as an extension and is not.... Some can be viewed both places (CrossEPG or some other...) Can someone please explain to me?

When installed as a plugin, it gets added to the plugins menu. When installed as an extension, it gets installed in to the extensions menu.

In VIX terms, plugin menu is long blue, extensions menu is short blue ;)
