Hi,

I want to stream my PC desktop on my VU+ Duo. Is this possible? I know how to set it up on PC side with VLC, but the VLC plugin for the Duo will only allow me to browse the files on my PC and view them that way, and what I want to to do is connect to the VLC live stream on my PC.

This is so that I can view an embedded flash stream within Chrome.

Thanks

VLC is not required. Easiest way is to mount the PCl then you can watch any file via the list of recordings --> location --> navigate to PC.

install the Samba and NFS in menu>setup>system>network then read this http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?15974-How-To-Setting-up-Windows-Network-Share

I don't want to share the files on my PC with my Vu+, I want to stream live to it. I want to view a live broadcast which is embedded into a web page on my vu+ player if it's possible.

Not sure how to do that.
Can't you navigate to that page using the VU's webbrowser?

Does it have a web browser?

Yes: if you install HbbTV you get a webbrowser (and YouTube).

Chromecast is an option. I was hoping the player may be able to do something similar but I'll probably go down that route if not
