Just done a fresh flash to Apollo 003 and a settings restore from Helios 17. Now the green update light is still flashing and it says there are 29 packages to update but when you go in update info there is no packages there. and nothing to update!

Please use the telnet command

opkg update && opkg list-upgradable
and post the output here.

Haven't tried didn't want to cause future problems. Don't understand why it would need me to do it.

So there are indeed numerous updates. Please update via telnetcommand

init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6
but make sure to make a backup first.

Yes but what are these off?

Flash the box with what? That's what I done today, already. I'm on Apollo 003

I've done the telnet cmd. So hopefully that's it sorted, cheers for your help

Yes, I updated my VU ultimo tonight to latest Apollo 003 and had the same list of packages to upgrade as you. My guess was probably a plugin that restored, but didn't restore it's dependencies or something...

I just did a telnet update like rob suggests above, and all appears to be ok now...

Hi

strange thing happening with my duo receiver on apollo build 1 green icon says updates available some 329 approx receiver goes through the update process but on reboot i get just the red light this happened also on the first build when installed that time it happened i switched off at the rear and restarted and all seem ok on the second update i again turned off at the back and restarted but on checking it still remains on build 1 and i have the green icon again and on checking still wants to install 329 updates.

29 updates supposed to be on mu vu+ duo but viewing the updates nothing exists. Should I still try to do a software update?

You should have gone through a 'force read' post that says to flash all VU's that are on build 001 (you can download build 003 via the image manager, flash and use settings restore).
