problem I have ,well a mate has is , after purchasing from sponsor about 2 months ago box is going great, now when mate tried to watch recordings there is nothing there , it states on tv hdd not recognised or not initialised, now when I go into devices hdd is not there , so tried to go to storage devices but storage devices is not there in listings this is actually second box this has happened to, anyone any ideas

Have you taken the lid off the receiver to check that the cables are not loose for the HDD ?.

Menu > Setup > System > Storage Devices > Is your HDD listed?

hi Sicilian,
no storage devices isn't listed , theres recording settings,subtitle settings, timeshift settings etc.. but no storage devices
when I go into information- devices , detected devices is not there either

also make sure the disc is spinning ... you should be able to hear it. I once had a brand new hdd that was faulty had to send it back.

update : took lid of could not see any obvious loose wires or connections but gave them a wee push anyway, put back together and all works fine now so thanks for advice
