Hi guys, I am looking some advice on what I need to do to move from OpenVix 3.0 to the new Appollo image?

I have never flashed an image before so eveything is new to me, is it possible to copy across my recordings etc. Also what files should I copy to my pc to put back onto the box once the update is complete?

Flashing a box does not affect your recordings!

you dont need to touch the recordings you have on the HDD as they are not touched when reflashing. if you have any timers you can back them up with a FTP session (timers.xml and autotimers.xml files located in etc/enigma2). you can also backup your cam config files. the rest i would setup from scratch.

you can find a load of flashing tutorials on www.openvix.co.uk, just pick the correct one for your receiver and follow that.

also don't forget to make a backup from your settings (lists) and bouquets.Easy with dreamboxedit. And if in use your LCD4 settings.

I just changed from openvix 3.0 build 808 to Appollo. Follow the advice above and you will be ok.

The only thing I would add is take a full image backup of your current box before you change anything.

I havent tried ondemand or 1channel yet on Appollo image. Are they working ok ?

That's why it's set to unstable. Because it's unstable.

so point of updates if unstable does not update and unstable build?? Even I allow unstable updates not working....better make zip file for apollo 02

Feeds being unstable is one thing, unstable build is another thing.

In this instance, an unstable build (not updating completely without user intervention for some models) has led to the feed status being changed.

As has already been noted, In this instance the feeds have been set to unstable due to a fault in the online update feature affecting some of the models we support, That aside you will still need to activate the unstable updates feature if you wish to use the plugin feeds while the image has been set to unstable.

Reading the posts, he doesn't say he has installed CCam, just that he transferred the config file.
