Hi all

So i recently flashed mu Solo 2 with the new Helios image and began experiencing freezing - i was told it may be the CAM version i was using - so I changed it to 2.1.3 - i now have a little less freezing but a few HD movie channels have gone missing BUT it still displays the EPG - I have re-scanned and everything and still no joy. I do remember having CCAM 2.0.11 on my old image and it was great. Now when i try to download that through TS panel it wont install and i am unable to find it in the usual plugins menu either.

Can anyone advise...or am i looking in the wrong place to get the channels that don't work to start working again...?

Most of the time these types of problems are either an issue with your internet or the provider.

In order to discount Helios, did you take a backup image before you moved to Helios? If you did, then make a backup of the image you have right now, then reflash the box with your previous image backup to see if the problems persist.

As for the missing channels, have a read around and you'll see why/where they have gone.

EDIT: Softcams are available here http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/index.php?dir=ViX-Softcams/

Thanks

when i initially tried to restore my old back-up after flashing to Helois for the first time - it did not work. I read somewhere in this forum that old backups will not work on Helios.

Also - just another question- Will restoring a back up re-instate ALL the plugins and settings ? or are there any exceptions ?

For a start TsPanel is a no no.

Indeed. Once TS-panel has been installed, your box has been corrupted.
Just unzip the TS-panel ipk and see what it brings to your box: horror!

Please reflash your box.

Oh Jeeez !!

SO would u advise that I uninstall TS panel - do a back up, re-flash, and then restore ?

Or start from scratch again ?
