help spider box 6000hd wont start

spiderbox wont start starts for about 7 secs switches off for about 7 secs then just keeps repeating
have tried to connect through hyper terminal wont connect
any advice would be a great help

Thats for Ferguson, not Spiderbox.

Yes I know bot it works on the Spider just use the Spider image I actually done this last year.

try f connection to the cable maybe causing a short if not screwed on properly regards 100acre

Just an update to help anyone - if you are having to do a recovery by connecting to the RS232 port and running HyperTerminal or the like you may well have to use Windows XP o/s to do this and not Windows 7 (or later).

Found this to be the case for my Spiderbox as although the device shows a boot sequence on the HyperTerminal display when connected it will not go to the menu option screen if you are using Windows 7. Works fine under Windows XP. Also tried another emulator, Putty, and the same thing.

After that little hiccup the reflash worked a treat.
