View Full Version : TSMedia Update Install Problems
Hi,
I'm trying update my tsmedia from version 4.6 to the latest 6.5 but it just doesnt want to install.
I downloaded the enigma2-plugin-extensions-tsmedia-oe2.0_6.5_all.ipk to the tmp folder.
logged into the box through telnet
typed - opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk
wouldnt install
also tried to install through vix - install extensions
wouldnt install either.
attached is the screen shot from this.
oh, and running opkg update doesnt work either.
I have a vu solo2 running vix 3.0.808.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Well the opkg update command wont work because there are no longer any image feeds for ViX 3.0.

Update the image to a currently supported image first.

Thanks. The latest image appears to be Helios 0.17, is this correct?
If I download this and stick it on a usb and then install it will I lose all my settings and have to install everything else from scratch again?
What happened to Zeus by the way?

?
Yes & yes.
Been covered many times on the forums though.
You can back up your channel lists using an app like DreamBox Edit.
Backup your cams & configs using ftp. These can easily be restored then after the image update.
is zeus no more? has it been replaced by helios?
Yes & about to be replaced by Apollo.
So is there no point updating to helios now then? as I will have to start from scratch again if I install helios now and then apollo shortly after?
There is a point. You want to use plugin feeds & tsmedia as stated in your OP.
Zeus & Helios backups can easily be restored in new images, so should only take a matter of minutes to be up and running again when a newer image is released.

The usual. System updates, bug fixes, some updated plugins, new skin from the creators of BlueHD, new AMB options...
I can update my TSmedia. Just updated from 6.2 to 6.7 (using vix 3.0 808 )
On upgrade all works but no audio?

Not meaning to sound anal but it really does grind on me when people post there image is 808. What is this ?. there is no such thing as ViX 808, 808 is simply the build number not the image version.
sorry should have added v 3.0 and 808,i presume thats what you meant?

Yes & presume you would also know 3.x builds are no longer supported/maintained?
and that would include tsmedia update i meant, found a link for new ipk remove old and ftp new one and hopefully better,i did read a while ago some buggers got a new big shiny axe and did some chopping:D

Indeed, LMAO.
Just one of those silly things that grinds on me, when people post for help and dont properly quote the image etc they are using.
ok part 2 now:eek:on apollo 003 on max digital, plugin downloads i saw 7.1 when i downloaded it the last time it came up with errors and ended up with boot loader and image to be redone, maybe i did something?safe to do it again when maintenance is fixed?:)
on apollo 24 and updated to 7.8 and now all links throw errors unable to get links etc......

speak to the plugins author, TSmedia is nothing to do with us.
Updated to latest ts-media 7.8 not one site works some have films on when you click
on film it then goes to say filenuke or one of the other ones its says in other words no
untill i go to another one tryed them all no joy no film if i need a vpn how do i do it
Currently on apollo 26
Agin I would say that is a question for the plugins authors, as it is a closed source plugin and we have no way of knowing how any changes in the image are going to impact the plugin.
Hi is there an alternative to TSMEDIA available
Mine also appears to not work at all after updated to 7.8 and Apollo 26
