View Full Version : Cant flash box with USB
I want to install the latest Helios image to my box but although I have flashed the box before with a san disk cruzer slice it wont scan the usb stick it just boots as normal.I have tried an itegral and a kingston data traveller in all usb sockets with the same result. Is there any other way to flash?
Could be a USB stick in another slot on your VU+ Duo.
I use a small partition FAT32 on a stick. No other stick in the box and stick with image in front usb.
make sure u extract the helios to the usb stick
No other stick in the box.reformatted to fat 32 and the image is extracted and tried all usb ports.
do you have the directory (and subs) on the stick ? Doesn't the box asks to push front power button ?
On this box you just power on with an image on an inserted stick. Its a VU+duo .Not a VU+duo 2
ok ,maybe this could help :
Is unfortunately in dutch language.
Use a rear USB port.
Use a MAX 8GB USB stick.
Use this HP Tool to format your USB stick FAT32 http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?45-HP-USB-Stick-Drive-Format-Tool
If still no joy buy a genuine Kingston stick max 8GB.
so you definitely have the "vuplus" folder on the stick with the image inside the vuplus/duo folder?
I've never had much success installing when inserting the stick in the front USB for some reason, and sometimes i have to power on and off 3 or 4 times before the Duo recognizes the image.
