Tune Failed

I have a problem that is puzzling me. I have a few channels that are coming up as Tune failed. On example is the Liverpool channel. I have checked using IDreamX all the frequency attributes and as far as i can see is that they are correct. the signal strength bar shows the signal as about 50% yet I still get tune failed. I have tried Zues and 3.808 and still get the same. Similar with my local ITV Yorks East. I can get Yorks west and others like Border. Any suggestions

Signal strength means nothing: what's the SNR?
It's also possible that the service has changed frequency.

I Don't know where to find signal strength. I have dish and LNB checked last week by local Sat engineer
The frequency according to KOS is 11307, 27500,H, 2/3 which is in my box

Aren't the websites are dependent on someone updating them with new details. Use ABM or Lraizer's version and your channel details will be as per data on satellite itself.

I Don't know where to find signal strength.
Depending on the skin thaat can be in several screens. The satfinder will tell you anyway.

Its not any particular channel I'm trying to get. It seems that there is something not right. I have downloaded and used Rats latest 28.2 lists I have run ABM and I'm still not able to receive several channels. Sky list order 103, 105,107, 126,129,130,131,144,146,147,148,150,157,429,604, 614 and some others.
Has anyone else come across this?
I know that Vu has dropped ultimo in favour of Duo2 and wondered if this was a problem with the ultimo

There is a possibility LNB is faulty or other issue. Perform a conventional satellite scan and report back with how many channels you get. Do not use ABM for this testing purpose.

I have experienced similar tune failed with channel listings on my ultimo running helios 16 and even with previous open vix 3.0 builds . I set both tuners in the ultimo to 28e and let it scan...I find 947 channels. Does this sound right for the number of channels?

'tune failed' means literally what it says: the tuner can't tune to a service. This can have all kinds of causes:
1- The service is not correct (scan the transponder or see a site like LyngSat or KoS).
2- The tuner configuration can be wrong (so the box thinks it can see a satellite while this is not the case).
3- All kinds of hardware issues (f-connectors, water in connector/cable), deteriorated cable, defect switch, defect LNB and even a defect tuner). Switching feeds is one of the handy tricks for a quick check.

Sorry for delay in responding but I have tried every combination with my Box removed tuners tried each individually with different feeds tried with different Vix images.
Still missing channels. Checked KoS and LyngSat for latest frequencies, Tonight Sky Living on transponder 11798 H 29500 3/4 is showing a SNR of 56, AGC 59, BOR 0, Lock ticked, I can't get the picture to the TV screen Other channels on same frequency is Sports1 hd Sports News HD are Fine, I have tried individual transponder scans as shown on KoS and LyngSat for yorks E 10994 H 59 22000 56, Channel 5 10964 H 22000 5/6, Liverpool 11307 H 27500 5/6, these 3 scans found No channels at all, I,m sure that other channels will have a similar problem. I'm beginning to fear the worst and I know of no one in my area which can check and repair if required

no issues here with my ultimo on any image version, and it is used as my main family receiver, switched on 16 hrs a day every day since i got it at launch.

i'd check the obvious things like the f-plugs and coax first them move towards the dish, before considering a haedware fault with the receiver, unless you can check another receiver on your existing dish for comparison.

Not sure if 'I can't get the picture to the TV screen' actually means that the box doesn't receive them or that you can't decrypt them.
I went over the thread again, but for me it's not clear.
Please use the build in 'satfinder' and see for all tuners if receiving horizontal/vertical polarisations works, and the same for high/low frequencies.

I have run a Sat finder scan the frequency tests for 3 top and 3 bottom are 10714 snr 55% AGc 59% both a&b Tuners found 10 channels - 10729 snr 96% agc 79% 10 channels found - 10773 69%snr 65%agc 10 channels found - 12188 64%snr 65%agc 13 channels found - 12663 76%snr 62agc 11 channels found - 12640 79%snr 69% agc 19 channels found
I noticed that when i checked the transponder 11307 with H polarisation which is where the Liverpool channel should be there is nothing I switched H to V and found 11 other channels Movies 24 and +1 SyFy and +1 and others but not Liverpool. I'm not sure if the auto scan does both H and V when completing a scan. Transponder frequency 11798 shows 56%snr 59% agc and 6 channels found Sky sports1 HD twice Sky Sports News twice Channel 5 HD and Sky Living HD I can get all except the Sky Living channel

Yes I tried both tuners and got similar readings on those mentioned frequency's. I did find an issue (Slack Connecter) with the feed to tuner B but thats sorted and all the readings are from after I sorted that
I have set the box up as in the guide posted by Josh_g. I've tried importing Bouquets still same result

I have just noticed the latest thread on here re missing channels Sky Living being one of them. I've had this problem since end of February. I turned everything off whilst i was on holiday so I believe this was a problem before these latest missing channels

just thought i would wade in and say im having similar problems however, i did manage to get my epg working eventually but my problem lies with idreamx. for some reason when i use ''get from box'' button to receive all channels i dont get them listed on right hand side under the "all the channels" column so there is no drag and drop option into the created user bouquet column.

does anyone have a fix for this? cos the only way i can get this to work which im not going to do is manually look through the last scanned option and pick from there. meaning i have to scroll down for each channel and drag to the bouquet that ive created, which is waaaaayyyyyyy toooooo looooongggg!!!

any help is appreciated
