Hi

Finally got my triax 88cm mounted with technomate tm-2600 m2 motor. Set it up on 0.8w, scanned, and was presented with a list of channels. great i thought, i've cracked it. That was with both tuners configured as simple, single mode, 0.8w ku-band, no diseqc.

These settings however did not allow me to drive the dish, so bearing in mind the tm-2600 is an h to h mount, i selected tuner mode as positioner, thinking i was doing the right thing, but alas no, all channels on 0.8w disappeared and could not be found on rescanning. The only way i have any channels on 0.8w is to revert to original tuner configuration.

Can anyone shine some light on where i'm going wrong as in this configuration i cant drive the dish

Thanks

What image and build number are you on? (This is relevant as ther have been some changes recently to this area of image).

How many ports has your LNB got?
How many cables to receiver.? For each one please state where they are coming form.

Thanks for your reply.

Using helios 10. Lnb has 2 outputs(i'm assuming thats ports). 2 cables to receiver, 1 to tuner 1 and 1 to tuner 2

Hope that helps

The tuner that has cable to motor should be set to simple, positioner, enter your co ordinates. Make sure you have east/west as appropriate. Ignore other settings.

The tuner with cable direct to lnb, set that as second cable of motorised lnb.

No question is stupid.

Yes, your geographical co-ordinates. The receiver needs these to calculate how much to move the motor. Negative values are West and South. Positive are East and North

See this site or any method you prefer.

Ok, using the link to the site you gave in your last reply my co ordinates are

Latitude 55.453
Longitude -4.265
DMS Lat 55° 27' 12.7872'' N
DMS Long 4° 15' 56.9844'' W

What do i need to enter and if i need to use the negative where on the duo remote do i find it.

Thanks for your help

It may be sensible to remove your coordinates unless you want the world to know where you live.

Got that done and moved to 28.2E but doesn't download anything. Also spinning vix logo for a full minute before it allows me to attempt scan. Took back to 0.8w and same thing as previously mentioned, the channels previously there before setting tuner config have gone so had to revert to my original tuner config to get anything viewable

Your due south satellite should be 5w not 0.8w. If you set it for USALS it should not matter too much, but does not look like you have. Up on the ladder again unless you want to use Diseqc motor controls and save positions for each satellite.

A tip.... at setting up stage, get scanning satellites out of your head. Transfer a recent list and zap to a channel and check you have a picture.
