Very disappointing that they didnt include a display with this model though, The nano-OE was perfectly fine without a display but for such a powerful and expensive machine i would have expected the Nano2-super to have at least had a display.

Have TM finally bought a license?

Has anyone tested PIP?
Lots of other dubious claims, lets wait & see...

Has anyone tested PIP?

Yes. Never used the feature before, but the little intuitive stuff I did works. Swap between channels, move around, zap PIP.

I got one of these to install for a customer, set it up, configured it OK, switched it off, went to customers place and it wouldn't boot, just stuck with the green light on, called TM support and they said I need to reflash... will report back, hopefully a good receiver but yeah I am disappointed with no display!

No display can be an advantage for a bedroom box :)
I had the GB 800UE+ in the bedroom but it lit the room up way too much!!!!!!!

I haven't had change to to play too much (hope to at the weekend) but what I can tell you it IS fast

I am a bit undecided. I was thinking of buying the TM Nano 2 Super and then noticed the TM Twin.
The Nano 2 Super seems to have a faster processor and the TM Twin has 2 x CI Slots and a Display. But would I use the CI Slots and I assume a faster processor would be a better option.

So many decisions!!!!!!!

Also, is anybody using a USB WiFi Dongle on either of these receivers? I get fairly strong WiFi signals throughout our house so just wondering what others experience is with WiFi on these machines. Getting an Ethernet cable from our lounge where the TV is upstairs to our spare bedroom where the Router is would be very difficult unless I ran the Ethernet cables outside on the house external wall?

Also still a bit unsure about Linux. I have never used Linux but am quite interested in trying one of the software images. All seems a bit daunting. Do these receivers came from Technomate with a TM image already loaded?

Thanks again. Just want to make the best decision!!!!!!

I'd go for the TM Nano 2 Super above the TM Twin. Newer & faster box.
Not to confuse you any further, but I'd also took at the TM3T, an extra tuner on the new generation box.
As for WiFi, it will be down to the WiFi stick you use, should really work the same on all mentioned boxes.
If you buy directly from TM, I'd think they come with a 4D image, if you buy from the forum sponsor, you can pick your preferred image.
ViX being my preferred image & the £5 forum user discount from the sponsor would be my choice.
