picons showing wrong pic for channels

using vix
picons are on my usb in picon folder
i updated tehm with rats plugin for the first time and they were working fine ,
couple of days ago i updated teh rats picon updater again and then this problem started
i am trying to ftp the old picons which i had into the usb picon folder after deleting the old picons ,rebooting the box but still they are not correct
my picon which i am copying has got
.png files which containg the pic
satellites.xml this file is from 2012
thumbs.db this is also from 2012
i think the link to the satellites xml file is not right
iam also using ABM
can some one help me to fix this
ps
i have checekd up in the
usr/share/enigma2/and there is no folder by the name picon is that right

i have deleted all the files in the media/usb /picon
and then tried to update it by running the rats picon updater but still showing the wrong picon for the channles
what am i missing

There have been quite a few service reference changes. You will have to wait for Rat to update his bouquets and picon references.

The picons themselves do not change often, it is the names that change.

Yes you can use old picons, but you will have to rename them. Too hard a task.
