Solo wont flash via usb?

Ive had my solo running vix for a good year now and updated via usb without any issues. Ive been trying to update to the new helious image. The folders are on the usb stick as they should be vuplus/solo but its as if the box is ignoring the usb stick and just booting as normal. Ive tried varios usb sticks, front & back usb port, and even tried various images to see if it flashed with another image. Also tried original firmware but it jsut keeps booting to the vix image. Anyone had this issue before.

Search the forums for HP Format Tool & use that to format your USB first.

I tried earlier to format the usb stick using windows 8.1 . The sticks seemed to be blank until i plugged them back in to the laptop and all the folders would still be there. Ive ran the hp us format tool and it kept saying my usb stick are write protected. Strange thing now is my when i plug them into my laptop the show for a second then vanish. They show in device manager but noy my computer. Going to give up tonight and see if i can sort it tommorow.
