I've seen 005 says not to use and 006 is on there to update to. been looking for info as to what has changed but nothing on here that I can see. 004 appears to be working well apart from my 2nd screen on duo2 being all messed up on playback of a recording.

Looks like a plugin issue, some of these streaming plugins are notorious for crashing an image rather than proper error handling when a stream can't be found.

TS-Media is a closed plugin. So probably not much we can do, especially not without debug- and/or crashlogs.

would i be right to contact the author and ask him to do a fix?? or will this problem continue unless he was to work with the vix team to find a fix??

I've contacted the author he's looking into it for us.

In TS media tools. General settings, Try changing the SELECT MEDIA PLAYER

Worked for me on a GB Quad running Helious 06

Response from mfaraj57:

Yes there are multiple problems between vix and TSmedia,unfortunately i do not have vix in any of my box.

To get it working as jeanhugard says In TS media>Tools> General settings> Change mediaplayer to MoviePlayer.

Have you saved settings once changed? Also try restating enigma once changed to movie player.

Try and reinstall using the software update within tsmedia, change to movie player and see if that helps.

I have now reverted back to Vix 3.0 808 for now, as TSmedia had started to make the box crash too. Was on Zeus 019

Im back to Helios 004 now and tsmedia is working again with the latest update to 6.2
006 must be a buggy version of Helios my tsmedia never worked with that !!

hi to all
difficult to believe this because there are error handling in the plugin for this case and that,s explain the crash reported only with vix
all these steps check the validity of streaming url before passing it to movieplayer

def playlink(self):#stream_url=None,stream_title='Unkn own',pluginid='unknown',
#download=False,playlist=[],itemindex=0,playall=False,exitonfinish=False):

if self.stream_url is None or self.stream_url == '':
self.error='Unable to get video link...'
return
try:
self.stream_url=str(self.stream_url)
if len(str(self.stream_url))<6 or 'urlresolver' in self.stream_url:
self.error='Unable to get video link...'
return
except:
self.error='Unable to get video link...'
return

I think this issue has been fixed in the meantime.
