View Full Version : [VU+ Solo2] Vix and Android transferring files

hey guys i use a usb hdd connected to my router as my nas. but i wanna take that hhd out and put it into my vu solo 2.

the prob i have is that i download most of my files on my android fone and transfer them to my nas thru the wifi using es file explorer but i wouldn't have that ability any more if i put the hdd into the solo 2.

anyone know of an app to transfer files to the solo 2. or can u mount the android hdd on the solo2?

i don't even know what samba is but i have installed appletalk to access it on my mac. i will read up on samba

es file explorer will use ftp to access it.
try on a pc to ftp to it.

if it works it should work with es file explorer.

es file explorer works ok for me.

Why don't you just use an android ftp program I have in the past, very easy (andftp I think it was called)

Yep AndFTP free from the play store easy and very good!

well said its definitely the best android ftp browser.

thanks guys it worked perfectly after i installed samba. i done a lot of searching in google trying to figure out why it wouldn't work can't believe that's all it was.

i have another question can i use es file explorer to transfer files to my ps3?

btw rossi if u are trying to make me jealous with the speedtest pic i am:mad::mad::thumbsup: i have 0.8mb download. i would kill for ur 95mb.
