View Full Version : motor scope
with a 1m dish (-2 long) how many degrees to the west will my dish be required to point, i have some obstruction after 10 you see, do i need to go further?
Martyd, I'd say you need to give more information. If you are on a motorised setup there are SATS from 50e to 50w. But some at the extremes depend on your location and dish location.
Most Sats with lots of channels are between 28.5e and 10w with 30w also carrying a lot but most of its channels are elsewhere.
So you will get enough from 10w back if that was your question.

As dfdream has stated.
Check the sat footprints and their packages then decide what sats you want then you will know what travel you require.

www.dishpointer.com will also probably be of use to you for directions of satellites.
