It's advanced mode with basic settings, just to make sure everything is as it should be.

if you only have your dish pointed at 28.8 dont use advanced just set both tuners to simple and 28.8

thats what i have done and have no issues

I posted those setting for a new user that was having problems getting a signal, just to check he was setup correctly normally they are not needed if you are on 28E and setup your tuner as Simple

Ok thanks Maxwell, to improve signal strength is there anything I can do?

only check dish alignment, good cable connections, decent cable, in reality the only way is a bigger dish but you have to be careful with that as well as too much signal is as bad as not enough as it can overload the tuner and then you need to start playing with attenuators to drop it down again

Yeah agree with maxwell

If signal is an issue which I had before check the cable ends cable and lnb

My lnb was slightly mis aligned before so caused my signal issues and dropping of channels

And was only ever so slight off

But consistent issues then I replaced my lnb with a new one and solved everything

Talking of sat signals, I can't find any signal strength/quality measurement values anywhere, is there a plugin?

The info provided on both the first and the second info bar is skin dependant.
