View Full Version : enigma 2 popcorn time plugin
Hi I was just wondering would it be possible to port this over to enigma 2? The popcorn time application is great on the pc. It also runs on Linux 32 and 64 bit. It is open source and the code is available on git hub. Is it possible to run it on an enigma 2 receiver? It would be an great addition to an already amazing scene.

And what is a 'popcorn time plugin' supposed to do?
Hi,
p2p movie streaming. At least in Germany it could cause trouble.
ciao
Its another one of those legally dubious movie streaming platforms, probably not a good idea to get involved in the development of such, especially with the new cyber crime division specifically targeting that kind of thing.
Aw well it was just a thought lol

Would be good tho as can't see it being any different from tsmedia to be honest
As you wouldn't be hosting anything
So would be good if a coder could implement it

Any seeing as it runs via a bit torrent protocol it could possibly easy to integrate with transmission which runs on enigma 2.

with TS-Media you are directly connected to a server and there is only 1 direction from the server to your box. Popcorn time uses peer to peer network which means you download something from another user and other users can also download from your box.
In Germany the difference can be a few thousand €.
ciao
Ts Media doesn't seem to have any good movies like popcorn time, or is there a part I'm missing?
