I have Cccam always starting automatically. If I want Mgcamd I have to start it. Then it stops Ccam because two softcams can't run simultaneously. When the channel is changed it usually stops Mgcamd and starts Cccam again. That is how I have experienced it. Have you got two softcams running?

Then the behaviour must be inbuilt in mgcamd.

I am running the same as Martincape solo2 with Zeus 19 and mgcamd 1.35a (because its the version specified for VIX) and Mr Mister cfg (below) and don't have any major issues. Some slight pixilation in small patches on the screen occasionally but that about it.

I'm having same problem on my brothers Vu+ Solo using Zeus 018. Reverted back to ViX 3.0 Build 808 and all is fine again. Will leave Zeus alone for a while as must be a bug in the Solo build.

Have you tried with the above cfg file?

When this next happens can you do a restart of the network on the box and see if the pic comes back without restarting mgcamd. You can restart the network by going into the System menu then Network, the I think Adapter Status but can't be sure as I'm at work at the mo.

The other thing you could try is moving over to Oscam?

why you suspect its network problem ?
and i can try moving to Oscam if the server won't block me,
the reason i'm not using cccam is because the server keeps blocking my user when i use it

You can use Oscam with netcamd so shouldn't be an issue.

just wanted to say thx for this amazing MG_cfg

i had always problems with vu+ devices and wondered why such powerfull machines need to restart mgcam all the time or while switching from several dishes like 0,8 to 4,8

this Mg_cfg is the solution for everyone who had problems with cam freezes while switching a channel!

works for me!

mega thx

They don't need to be restarted, just configured properly.

I have had vu for many years and they are very good and hardly ever any issues and if there is issues they are simple to sort.

if any of the above solutions don't work. I would backup everything, except softcam etc and reflash and start from new. I remember sometime back when I switch to fibre optic and was given a new router I had similar issues and after restarting my router and ftping my files everything was sorted.
