epg downloader

hi,i am using a vu+ solo pro openvix box, ts media 5.7 and need some help with my epg downloader, i'm looking to download the cross epg to my external hard drive instead of the internal memory as i wanna free up space in the cacheflush, or can i clear the cacheflush when i press the blue button on my remote, would that mess up box. hope this makes sense. thanks
