Hi there I am selling a fully working,3 month old vu+duo fitted with a 500gb western digital green HDD, on behalf of my father. I can supply it with vix installed or completely wiped. The stb will be fully boxed in original packaging. He is selling it for £200 +p&p

As he has no need for the hdd.

What is the reason for sale? Does this box have live pause? Excuse my ignorance but I am a plumber! Not a satellite wiz. Is the solo 2 considered a better box?

Solo 2 is a better (newer)box yes, I am selling for my father. He couldn't get to grips with the e2 boxes. You can use the hdd for live pause (timeshift). Without problem or you can just plug in a usb either will work fine. I can set it up for you for a sky 28.2e dish, so that all you have to do is connect to your cables, and sort out your subscription for paid tv services.

Edited:the difference between a solo 2 and a duo is basically just processor speed and flash memory. If you want to just watch satellite tv then the duo is more than enough.

I am going to do a little research and have a think. I will be buying one but you can get what you are selling brand new for £50 more so on that basis I would be swayed towards a new machine and if I were to do that then I may as well pay the extra 30 and get a solo 2. Will have a think

No problem, £50 is not peanuts. That could be a nice night on the drink for you, just to clarify it would cost you £339 for solo 2 with the hdd, and i doubt it is as good a branded hdd, but whatever you decide enjoy your new box. And if you need help setting up your new stb, just ask and I'll gladly help as best I can.
