Updated to vix 3 808 internal had not showing help

Updated to vix 3 808 but can't see the internal hdd in the menu---info--device information, it only shows the USB drive,
Before this update the 2tb hdd was showing in the drives,
How do I add it up again

May I ask why you 'updated' to an old, no longer supported version?

It was couple of months back when I updated, it was current at that time, I updated from vix 2.1 the 2tb internal hdd was showing there and has some recordings on it,
Just don't know which Plug in I need, cause don't want to initialise the hdd as it will loose all the recordings.
Have got a USB hdd 2gb which takes the cross egg, picon.

You never need to initialise the HDD when updating/flashing (if it was working properly in any other image).

But it's not working I think I need to install nfs or some other plug in for the hdd to be seen

I surely hope you internal HDD is not in the NTFS-format. That will never be satisfactory, so initialisation will be your best option if it is.
For the time being you could install the NTFS-drivers from the feeds, so you can watch your recordings (and move them to another location, so you can do the initialise trick).

The only device showing in device information is the USB as
/media/hdd size 2.07 gb free 480mb
Recording path is also
Media/hdd
It needs to be changed to hdd
But how do I do it,
It's a plug in which was taken out from the image which was in vix 2.1

When watching tv press Blue button
VIX
Mount Manager(press ok to show all the drives currently mounted)
Press green to setup your mounts
Use the left/right buttons to toggle your usb stick to /media/usb and your hard drive to /media/hdd
Press green to save and the box should reboot with the mounts created


But why not install the newest image first then do the above

In the menu /system/ can't see hard drive option.

In storage devices /hard disk setup/
Initialisation only show CBM(flash disk) - rxternal(2.116gb)
Cant see my other hdd just see the USB

If the hard drive is being detected it will show up when you do what i said
Press blue
choose VIX
choose Mount manager

You dont set it up from main menu you just initialize it or test it and you dont want to inittialize as you will loose recordings

Change the USB to hdd/USB

Are you sure you have connected it up correctly?

It was connected earlier, just updated the image will open the box and have a look at the connections

It was the power cable of the hdd which was loose I think, took it out and put it back in, and the hdd is showing now
