Hi,

I have a new Vu+ Duo2 with the dvb-t2 tuner. When installing the VIX image I couldn't find channels using dvb-t2 tuner but only dvb-t tuner. Is the driver for the new dvb-t2 tuners coming to the image soon?

what tuner ? usb tuners in there drivers installing, from feeds.

NO, not an USB tuner, but tuner from Vu+ installed in the tuner slots.

Obviously your tuner is NIM(SSH108) with Samsung tunermodule. A very good tuner, but not yet available in UK. Duo2 does not recognize it as T2 tuner when using OpenVix.

I confirm that my Vu+Ultimo recognizes the same T2 tuner without any problem.

So does my Ultimo, but Duo2 not. Anyway, you have to do manual scan in Ultimo, scanning T2 transponders one by one. Automatic scan finds only T-broadcasts.

As an addition, watching T2 broadcasts with Duo2/OpenVix is no problem. Scanning is. I have done scanning with Sundtek usb-T2 tuner, and this SSH108 operates fine.

well without a tuner i can't test it. sorry guy's

But the driver is in the official build for Vu+ Duo2, can it be implemented into the VXI build? I'll be happy to beta test and verify that it works with my Duo2.

I have just tried the latest build but unfortunately I still can't see dvb-t2 but only dvb-t. I can only scan dvb-t when finding channels. Is there a way to see dvb-t2 channels anyway with using another image?

If the drivers are in the build for the delivered t2 tuner, why is not visible?

What can I do to help to get the tuner to work?

I think at the moment you have two possibilities. Scan with usb T2 tuner if you can get one, or try BlackHole image.

Does Black Hole have support for the build in T2 tuner?

If I scan with a USB T2 stick, can I get the build in tuner to read that setting? If so, how do I do that?

There might be also a third way. Do the scan with VU+ original image, and download the result with Dreambox Edit to your PC. Then with OpenVix send those settings to the box.

Unfortunately we're all awaiting DVB-T2 tuners to arrive for our team. As long as we don't have any, we can't test or advise.
But I've read postings on our forum from people succeeding in scanning using ViX.

Yes with Ultimo. But no with Duo2.
