View Full Version : Faulty Vu Duo? :(

Hi guys, Just recieved my Vu Duo this morning, after work i have tuned the tv in and i now get these problems...

when on a menu guide there is no probs

However when i have it just on the tv I get this....

is my box goosed before i even manage to use it or is there something i can change to fix this....

I went to radio and back to tv and it sorted, then had to reboot box and same again.

Check your leads and cables and make sure seated and connected properly

HI first thing I would dois turn off auto resolution in the menu screen (your first pic) then set the refresh rate (I think that is what it is called) in the same menu screen to 50hz. That should sort it.

thanks guys, dropping to 50Hz worked a treat, but surely as my tv can use 60 the box should still work with that output ?

Best not to use a fixed output: if set to 50Hz a 60Hz source will be fiddled in 50Hz and vice versa.
As all modern TV's will support both 50Hz & 60Hz best is to use 'multi', so 50Hz material will be outputted in 50Hz and 60Hz material in 60Hz.
